What to Do with the After?

In WHAT TO DO WITH THE AFTER?, Bernardo Chatillon starts from a contemporary unease to think about what happens after a rupture, a loss, a crisis or an euphoria. The creation intersects with the feeling of a suspended time, in which affective, social and political systems seem unstable and the future has not yet taken shape.

The performance proposes a common territory between thought, body and stage, where the “after” appears not as a simple consequence, but as a condition of the present. From that question, the piece follows the attempt to reorganize gestures and meanings in a world in tension.

The artistic direction and creation are by Bernardo Chatillon, who also performs alongside Gio Lourenço, Ana Rocha and Mariana Tengner Barros. The team also includes staging consultancy by Diogo Liberano, live lighting design by Tiago Gandra and live sound composition by Rodrigo Pereira.
