«Man - Man» transports the audience to an intimate territory, where the character MAN-MAN inhabits the stage and the body itself through gestures of dressing, undressing and redressing. The piece proposes a cycle of stripping away and rebuilding, in which the body reinvents itself and oscillates between the desire to live fully within it and the desire to escape.
The creation and performance are by Tiago Miguel, a Portuguese artist born in 2004, whose work is shaped by costume, scenography, objects, exhibition, improvisation and the body as a starting point. The show is part of the Segunda Casa program at Instável – Centro Coreográfico, as part of a strategy for the circulation of choreographic works supported in residency and coproduced with Teatro Municipal do Porto.
