Conversation | Artistic Practices, Inclusion and Production of Counter-Archives

This public talk at MAC/CCB proposes a reflection on how artistic practices can intersect with inclusion, participation and the production of counter-archives within cultural institutions. The meeting features Coletivo MANAS — Grupo de Apoio Mútuo, which works from strategies of harm reduction, community health, artivism and the rights of the Manas.

MANAS develops zine-making workshops, body-awareness exercises, storytelling and collective cooking, combining self-expression and political affirmation with a mission centred on the principle that «nothing about us without us». The talk also frames the critical dimension of the project, oriented toward combating intersectional forms of discrimination based on gender identity, race, class, age, disability and sexual orientation.
