MAC/CCB Education and Mediation Program

The MAC/CCB education and mediation programme covers requests for the loan of works and collections in long-term storage, promoting their enjoyment, knowledge and study at national and international level. It is intended for exhibition projects that wish to include works from the museum, involving new audiences in a plural and participatory way.

Requests must be addressed to the Artistic Direction, by email or post, at least six months before the exhibition opens. The application must include the institution’s and its representative’s contact details, the exhibition title and dates, an indication of any touring itinerary, the list of requested works, the description and contextualisation of the project, the editorial plan when applicable, and the facility report.

Approval depends on the availability of the works, their state of conservation, the environmental conditions of the venue, the relevance of the project and the opinion of the Loan Committee and the Owners. When the opinion is favourable, the loan conditions are communicated and, after acceptance, the MAC/CCB and the Owners formalise the contract. Packaging, transport, restoration, installation, deinstallation, courier and insurance costs are borne by the organising entity.
