Summer at the Municipal Library

The Coimbra Municipal Library offers, between July and September, a wide range of activities for the school holidays, designed for children and families. At the Children's Library of Casa Municipal da Cultura, the “Summer Workshops” take place, with themed sessions of reading, artistic expression and crafts, as well as proposals from the Ancient Book Service and the Municipal Historical Archive. In the Municipal Branch Libraries, the initiative “Magical Holidays” extends the programme with workshops, recreational sessions and reading promotion activities. Summer also brings an extension of the loan period and the number of home loans in “Summer Sales”.
