about the event

Based on Miguel de Cervantes and António José da Silva, *Quixote and Pança, dreamers of worlds* places four young people in an abandoned theater, where an old book opens like a passage to another plane. What begins as shelter turns into an entry into the territory of Don Quixote and his squire Sancho Pança, where words take shape and reality gives way to dream.

With dramaturgy, direction, and set design by Paulo Calatré, the show intertwines the Quixotic legacy with a reflection on imagination, freedom, and the haste of the present time. The cast features Benedita Mendes, Eduardo Corono, Ellen Rodrigues, and Miguel Brás, in a production supported by directing assistance and voice-over by Patrícia Andrade, costumes by Patrícia Costa, and sound creation by João Nuno Henriques.

Teatro das Beiras thus presents a play intended for audiences aged 6 and over, lasting about 45 minutes, in which theatrical play and fantasy seek to open space for wonder and for doubt about what, after all, is real.
