GROUND ZERO at Museu de Arte Moderna Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso

Curated by Black Atlas, the exhibition presents works by Catarina Leitão, Cristina Ataíde, Jermay Michael Gabriel, Marcelo Moscheta, Mónica de Miranda, Nii Obodai, Nithya Iyer, Susana Anágua, Uriel Orlow, Marta Machado and Sofia Yala. The exhibition brings together installation, drawing, photography and sculpture to think of “Ground Zero” as a starting point, weaving together identity, memory, ecology and the relationships between the Human and Nature. Among the highlighted themes are colonial legacies, social and ecological justice, and the connections between landscape, history and territory. It is part of the Paisagens Visuais project, supported by Direção-Geral das Artes under the RPAC.
