From Prayer to Techno

From Prayer to Techno is part of the Dar a Ouvir programme, co-organized by the Educational Service of Jazz ao Centro Clube (JACC) and Convento São Francisco, of the Coimbra City Council.

The Teatro do Frio creation proposes a multidisciplinary journey between inner listening and collective celebration, crossing sound, body, and sensory experience. The piece works with resonance as a relationship between bodies, materials, and sound, and approaches falling as a physical and symbolic gesture: not as failure, but as an abdication of control and an opening to other forms of presence, movement, and listening.

The artistic creation is by Rodrigo Malvar, with creative and dramaturgical support from Catarina Lacerda. Composition and performance are by Henrique Apolinário and Rodrigo Malvar himself, in a production by Teatro do Frio.
