COME FROM AWAY

Irene Sankoff and David Hein’s musical based on the events that took place in Gander, Newfoundland, during the week following the September 11, 2001 attacks. With U.S. airspace closed, 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 passengers were diverted to the Canadian town, where the residents welcomed, housed, and supported them until they could continue their journey.

This Lisbon Film Orchestra production features staging by Pedro Pernas, musical direction by Nuno de Sá, choreography and movement by Laura Póvoa, and set and costume design by Ana Paula Rocha. English subtitles are available for the performance.
