Aruna and the Art of Embroidering Beginnings

A multidisciplinary performance for ages 6 and up that follows Aruna, a 10-year-old child, in a narrative of social and human reconstruction in times of adversity.

The creation brings together shadow theatre, music, drawing, and performance, starting from the idea of a new beginning after a catastrophe. In parallel, the Foyer of Teatro Viriato hosts an exhibition by Eleonore Labatut and Simon Deprez about the reconstruction of places affected by natural disasters, available during the performance days.
