xauxau dodô are a septet from Minho that questions both humanity’s place and its achievements, while also revisiting the lightness of life, friendship, and memories of the days of scraped knees. With a strong influence from jazz and afrobeat sounds, they also explore the territories of classical and ambient music. They debuted in 2023 with the single “Plantai-as” and, in 2025, released their debut album “brandos e cargumes”, a collective manifesto that looks at today’s world from Minho.

They are a sound map in motion that comes down to Cem Soldos to celebrate freedom without ties or borders.
