The xauxau dodô are a Minho septet that both questions the place of the human being and its achievements and revisits the lightness of life, friendship, and memories of days with scraped knees. With a strong influence from jazz and afrobeat sonorities, they also visit the territories of classical and ambient music. They debuted in 2023 with the single “Plantai-as” and, in 2025, released their debut album “brandos e cargumes”, a collective manifesto that looks at today’s world from Minho.

They are a sound map in motion that comes down to Cem Soldos to celebrate freedom without shackles or borders.
