Summer Opening 2026 returns to Funchal for three days of music, art and celebration by the Atlantic The Summer Opening is back in 2026 to celebrate its 12th edition, returning to the iconic Parque de Santa Catarina in Funchal, between 2 and 4 July 2026. The festival once again marks the start of the Madeiran summer with three intense days of music, culture and togetherness, in one of the city’s most iconic settings. Recognized for bringing together music, art, gastronomy and nature, Summer Opening offers a unique open-air experience, with a privileged view over the Atlantic Ocean and Funchal bay, establishing itself as one of the most relevant urban festivals in the Região Autónoma da Madeira.
