Being Different, Inside!

«Being Different, Inside!» follows Escola Pétalas do Mundo, where different colours, origins and experiences cross paths on the first day of school. Vika, a Ukrainian refugee girl, meets Dolores, a Roma girl, and Anik, an Indian boy, and the friendship between the three takes shape in an environment marked by challenges, belonging and discovery.

Throughout the story, the show addresses identity, pluralism and cultural diversity, highlighting the importance of understanding and respect between cultures and ethnic groups. When prejudice and racism arise unexpectedly, the relationship between the characters is put to the test, in a story designed for primary school audiences.

The presentation is by the company Betweien – Challenge and Success, Lda and takes place at Theatro Gil Vicente, with school performances to be arranged.
