Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna

The Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna returns to Portugal with a programme that traces the so-called golden age of Vienna, under the title *From Strauss to Léhar – An Evening Through Vienna’s Golden Age*. The evening brings together some of the best-known pages by Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár, Carl Millöcker, Carl Michael Ziehrer and Hans Christian Lumbye, in a journey made up of marches, waltzes, polkas and operetta numbers.

The programme is divided into two parts and includes pieces such as "Frühlingsstimmen", "Lippen schweigen" and "An der schönen blauen Donau", as well as moments with soprano and baritone, always in the orchestra’s Viennese interpretation. It is a concert designed for those who appreciate light classical repertoire and the distinctive sparkle of Vienna’s musical tradition.
