RIACHO VERTICAL

In Riacho Vertical, contemporary circus serves as a starting point for a reflection on the classic elements of nature, through the performers’ bodies and their relationship with the set design and sound design. Inspired by Bachelard’s image, the performance explores the subjective and poetic dimension of these elements, inviting the audience to new interpretations.

The creation and performance are by João Antunes, Nathália Furlan and Pedro Caetano, with artistic direction by Nathália Furlan, musical composition by Rafael Maia and lighting design by Lui L’Abbate. The set design and costumes are by Mafalda Antunes, with creative support from Victor Abreu.
