SERTÃO is the most recent show by Quinteto Violado. A project that celebrates 52 years of the group and ventures into the music of northeastern Brazil. Founded in Pernambuco in the post-Tropicalist period (1971), Quinteto Violado focused its work on regional music, valuing Brazilian culture through research projects and bringing together the personal experiences of its members. From that time until today, the Quinteto and its sonic identity — built from double bass, guitar, viola, flutes, keyboards, percussion and vocals — have won more and more admirers in Brazil and around the world.

This concert results from a co-production of CCC, with ACERT and other cultural organizations from the Portuguese Theatre and Cinema Network – RTCP and within the framework of the informal network CENTRO RADIANTE.
