PURO SPIRITO

PURO SPIRITO is an installation by Xavier Paes & Inês Tartaruga Água that proposes a reflection on the connection between dance, air and sound. The piece explores the body between negative space and the invisible, using DIY whistles as bodily extensions to transform the surrounding air into a tactile and sensory experience. The opening takes place on 30 July, at 18:00, with activation/performance. The installation is on view from 31 July to 6 September 2026, open to the public from Wednesday to Monday, between 15:00 and 20:00, with last admission at 19:30. The project is part of Dar a Ouvir, an initiative co-organized by the Serviço Educativo do Jazz ao Centro Clube and by Convento São Francisco, of the Câmara Municipal de Coimbra. The collective was in artistic residency between 20 and 30 July to build the installation, during which time it held three workshops, the outcome of which is also part of the work.
