PARIS PIANO & SONG

In this recital, the audience hears songs by five great pianist-composers whose careers developed in France, between the Romantic period and the beginning of the 20th century. The program proposes a musical journey from Romanticism to Impressionism, underlining the evolution of piano technique and the attention given to instrumental accompaniment. The chosen songs use texts by Victor Hugo and Paul Verlaine, in dialogue with the voice of Ana Rita Coelho and the piano of João Paulo Santos.
