On Falling

In *On Falling*, Laura Carreira follows Aurora, a Portuguese worker in an e-commerce warehouse in Glasgow, caught between irregular shifts, mechanized work and life in a shared apartment. From this day-to-day routine of repetition and exhaustion, the film observes social alienation and financial precariousness in an intimate and rigorous way.

With Joana Santos, Inês Vaz and Piotr Sikora, the drama builds a portrait marked by the blues and greys of industrial spaces, showing how workers' lives become small in the face of larger economic forces. The screening includes support from DGARTES/RTCP and is part of a trajectory of distinctions and selection at international festivals, including Toronto, San Sebastián, BFI London and LEFFEST 2024.
