My First Herbarium

In this workshop, the public is invited to walk through the garden of Palácio Pimenta to observe the variety of plants and learn to distinguish trees, herbaceous plants and climbers from their leaves, flowers, fruits or seeds.

Throughout the activity, there is time to record, collect, draw and catalogue species, in a practical exercise that leads to the creation of a first herbarium. The route also includes a reflection on the preservation of natural ecosystems and on sustainable practices in cities.
