The Heart of a Boxer

«O Coração de um Pugilista», by Lutz Hübner, follows Jójó, a sixteen-year-old boy convicted of stealing a motorcycle and assigned to community service in a nursing home, where he meets Leo, a former boxer who struggles with his condition as a forced inmate.

The show begins with a relationship marked by distrust, lack of dialogue and violence, and moves toward an encounter between generations made up of life stories, complicity and affection. From that confrontation grows the desire of both to help each other achieve their respective dreams.

The production features a translation by Vera San Payo de Lemos and direction by Jorge Silva, with performances by Miguel Brás and Victor Santos. The team includes set design by Rui Francisco, costumes, props and graphic design by Rafaela Schimitt, lighting design by Fernando Sena and sound design by João Nuno Henriques.
