O BEIJO NO ASFALTO

Invited by Teatro Nacional de São João, Tónan Quito brings *O beijo no asfalto*, by Nelson Rodrigues, to the Festival de Almada, one of his so-called “Rio tragedies”.

The play starts from an extreme situation: a man is run over and, before dying, asks a stranger to kiss him on the mouth. The performance is in Portuguese and brings together a cast of Brazilian actresses and actors living in Portugal.
