O Amor é Assim

In "O Amor é Assim", João Baião brings Joaquim Baião to life, an apparently impeccable man who manages to keep two homes, two routines and two women without raising suspicion. When an unforeseen event breaks this balance, the lie gives rise to new lies and confusion sets in, with unexpected phone calls, curious neighbours, persistent police officers and a friend unable to keep a coherent version.

It is the Portuguese adaptation of *Run for Your Wife*, by Ray Cooney, one of the most popular comedies in contemporary theatre, here presented in a production marked by fast-paced rhythm and farcical humour. The cast includes Cristina Oliveira, Mané Ribeiro, Luís Garcia, João Frizza, João Lopes and Susana Cacela, directed by João Baião and Fernando Gomes.
