Synopsis

Pianist, composer, producer and vocalist with classical training, Marina Herlop has established herself as one of the most distinctive and innovative voices in contemporary music. Following the release of *Pripyat* (2022) and *Nekkuja* (2023) — two albums that place her among the most acclaimed names on the international experimental scene —, the Barcelona-based artist now returns with *Dja Dja*, her boldest work to date. Conceived as a single interconnected piece, the album uses the Hero’s Journey (a narrative model developed by mythologist Joseph Campbell) as a structure for an intense musical exploration of transformation, inner conflict and self-assertion, the crossing point of X, where aggressiveness and delicacy meet. Throughout her compositions, Marina Herlop expands her sonic universe with new textures, brass arrangements and an intricate musical architecture, preserving the balance between radical experimentation and emotional accessibility that has become a hallmark of her work. The new tour marks the live debut of this body of work, through a reimagined performance developed over more than two years of research, composition and production. This is a new chapter in the artist’s career, one that continues to challenge the boundaries of contemporary music and consolidate her place among the most relevant creators of her generation.
