about the event
The MAPS – Performing Arts Festival in Setúbal is back to transform Setúbal into an open stage for contemporary artistic creation and community participation. Over ten days, the event will occupy several emblematic spaces, such as A Gráfica, Parque do Bonfim, and the commercial downtown area. The event features a completely free program that combines dance, theater, film, and music. Under the theme of "Heritages" that we receive and leave behind, this 8th edition challenges artists and audiences to reflect on memories, identities, and social justice. With offerings ranging from international performances and multimedia concerts to MINI-MAPS — a space dedicated exclusively to families — the event also stands out for the debut of the Ágora Space in Jardim do Quebedo, focused on citizen participation. The festival concludes with projects of a strong community and inclusive nature, reaffirming Setúbal's commitment to the democratization of culture. Learn more here.
