Kintsugi

At Escadas do Quebra Costas, Kintsugi offers a free-admission concert where saxophones, piano and guitar come together. The trio brings João Mortágua, Luís Figueiredo and Pedro Branco into a music conceived as a space for discovery, where improvisation and collective construction take shape through detail and spontaneous reconstruction.

The project’s name refers to the Japanese art of restoring objects with gold, serving here as a metaphor for a creation that values traces, connections and the beauty that can arise from fragmentation. The concert is part of the “A Dois Tempos” programme and is repeated the following day, at the same time and in the same place.
