European Heritage Days

The Jornadas Europeias do Património 2026 present the theme «Património em risco: reviver, resistir, reimaginar» and propose three days dedicated to the appreciation, preservation and dissemination of cultural heritage. Between guided and self-guided visits, temporary exhibitions, thematic talks and workshops on arts, heritage and traditional knowledge, the public will be able to explore different dimensions of the tangible and intangible heritage of Alcobaça.

The programme takes place from 18 to 20 September 2026 at various locations throughout the municipality, including the Museu do Vinho de Alcobaça, the Museu Raul da Bernarda, the Museu das Máquinas Falantes, the Museu de Cerâmica de Alcobaça - Coleção Maria do Céu e Luís Pereira de Sampaio, the Mosteiro de Coz, the Escola-Museu D. José Policarpo, the Armazém das Artes and the Junta de Freguesia da Benedita. Admission is free.
