Video Art Installation: Até ao Fim do Mundo

Até ao Fim do Mundo is a video art installation by Fernando Mota and Mário Melo Costa, part of Dar a Ouvir, a project co-organized by the Serviço Educativo do Jazz ao Centro Clube and Convento São Francisco, of the Câmara Municipal de Coimbra.

The work stems from research that brings science and art together to confront geological time with human time, proposing a reflection on the place and relevance of the human species in the history of the Earth. The installation takes the form of a musical performance conceived by Fernando Mota with natural materials and using the Chinese oracle I Ching to define the structure and instrumentation.

The presentation is short in duration and available with free admission.
