Fidju Kitxora is an enigmatic collective that moves between Lisbon and Cape Verde. Their debut at Boom Festival marked the beginning of a singular journey that would culminate, in 2024, with the release of “Racodja”, their debut album. They offer us a sonic language that crosses geographies and traditions: from the warmth of funaná to the groove of semba, through the syncopations of kuduro and afro-house, to unexpected fusions that incorporate field recordings, ethereal synthesizers, vocal samples, and powerful beats.
