Festival and Pilgrimage of S. Tomé 2026

The Festa e Romaria de S. Tomé 2026 marks a historic first: it is the first edition celebrated after the tradition was inscribed in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Over three days and three nights, the programme brings together cavalhadas, an allegorical parade, pilgrimage, and the banner ceremony with musical entertainment at Terreiro do Paço, between the Main Stage and the DJs' Stage until morning. The event is organized by Grupo Típico de Ançã, with support from the Município de Cantanhede and the Junta de Freguesia de Ançã.
