A Resistant Poetics Exhibition

“A Resistant Poetics” is the result of a cultural partnership with the Museu do Neo-Realismo and presents around 60 works of painting, drawing, printmaking and photography.

The exhibition brings together pieces from the Museu do Neo-Realismo collection and works associated with names such as Margarida Tengarrinha, Querubim Lapa, José Dias Coelho, Júlio Pomar, Maria Barreira, Rogério Ribeiro, Alice Jorge, Júlio Resende, Sá Nogueira, Cipriano Dourado, Jorge de Almeida Monteiro and João Hogan, among many others.

The journey focuses on neorealism as a language of resistance to the oppression of the Estado Novo, highlighting art as an instrument of hope and social transformation.
