Contextile 2026 International Exhibition

The Contextile 2026 International Exhibition presents 54 works selected from the 2,036 submitted by 1,604 artists from 81 countries to the biennial open call. The exhibition brings together works by 51 artists from 27 countries and highlights the relationship between contemporary creation, textile material, construction, theme, concept and technique.

In this 8th edition, the selection process was overseen by an international multidisciplinary jury composed of Cláudia Melo, Lala de Dios, Lewis Big, Magali Junet, Magda Soboń and Susana Pires. The guiding theme is “By a Thread_Por um Fio”, which serves as the starting point for reading the works on display.
