Collective Exhibition "Memórias de Cantanhede"

The collective exhibition *Memórias de Cantanhede – Paintings inspired by old photographs and postcards* brings together paintings by 18 artists, born from an invitation from Associação FotografARTE to create works inspired by old images of Cantanhede.

After a first presentation at Freixial Shopping in September 2025, as part of PhotoFest 2025, the project now arrives at Biblioteca Municipal de Cantanhede. The exhibition proposes a visual return to a place from other times, bringing photography and painting together to evoke human and architectural heritage, including references that have already disappeared, and also to showcase the work of local artists.

Throughout August and September, the public is invited to revisit old Cantanhede through contemporary interpretations that seek to turn old memories into works of art.
