Sculptures

The Galeria de Exposições Augusto Bértholo hosts “Esculturas”, an exhibition by Carlos Matos that brings together sculptures and ceramic pieces made using different materials and techniques. The collection explores the three-dimensional dimension and volumetric expression, reflecting the artist’s identity as a multidisciplinary creator.

The exhibition combines traditional knowledge with a contemporary vision of sculpture and can be visited from 6 to 27 September 2026. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and public holidays. The initiative is jointly promoted by Câmara Municipal de Vila Franca de Xira and Associação de Artistas Plásticos do Concelho de Vila Franca de Xira.
