International Monuments and Sites Day 2019

At the Douro Museum, the date is marked by the public presentation of the Portuguese translation of the ICOMOS-IFLA Charter of Recommendations on rural heritage as heritage. The initiative, carried out in partnership with ICOMOS, continues with a round table dedicated to the heritage-making of the landscape in various rural territories, with a focus on the Douro. The meeting proposes a reflection on how this heritage is recognized, interpreted and valued.
