about the event
This online course offers a reading of the heritage of Portuguese origin in the Indian Ocean and the China Sea, in a journey that follows the Portuguese presence from South Africa to Japan. Across four sessions, the focus moves through UNESCO-recognized places and other monuments, landscapes and memories of Portuguese origin spread across Asia and the Afro-Asian space.
The sessions take place virtually, on Saturday mornings, at the Museu do Oriente, under the guidance of João Paulo Oliveira e Costa.
