Lopes Graça Choir

In the performance «Canções Heróicas em 80 anos de Luta», the Lopes-Graça Choir revives a repertoire linked to anti-fascist resistance and to the work of Fernando Lopes-Graça. Founded in 1945 and successively associated with the MUD, the Lisbon Dramatic Group, and the Academy of Amateur Musicians, the choir became known for the «Heroic Songs», with poems by anti-fascist authors and music by Lopes-Graça. Since 2019, artistic direction has been in the hands of Alexandre Weffort.
