Black Tale

*Conto Preto* is a choreographic creation by Nala Revlon that brings together the spiritualities of Candomblé and the identity-driven energy of ballroom culture. The piece builds a space of evocation, celebration, and resistance, where body, sound, and memory serve as a bridge to ancestry and to the orixás.

Drawing on sacred rhythms such as ijexá, atabaque, and agogô, the work proposes a contemporary rituality in which each performance also takes on a political dimension. Performed by three artists from the Portuguese scene, including Nala, Igor Silva (Flawless), and Malia Imaan, the piece affirms identity and art as sacred territory.
