Cinema of the Beyond proposes a journey through films from different eras, geographies, and sensibilities around the idea of what comes after the end of life.
The program brings together works that address past lives, intermediary worlds, mourning, memory, haunting, and transformation, with titles by Jean Cocteau, Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, Kaneto Shindō, Hirokazu Koreeda, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Shirin Neshat, Gaspar Noé, and other filmmakers.
The curators are Justin Jaeckle and Lídia Queirós.
