In the TAKE 1 series, Hasan Hadi's film follows Lamia, a nine-year-old child, in 1990s Iraq, when she is tasked with preparing Saddam Hussein's birthday cake. Faced with scarce resources and the pressure of the moment, the girl uses her imagination to get the ingredients and complete the mission.
