Carnival

Madeira Carnival once again focuses on the centre of Funchal with a programme that runs over several days and brings together different expressions of the island's celebration.

In this 2027 edition, the schedule includes the Solidarity and Children's Carnival, the Carnival Allegorical Parade, and the Trapalhão Parade, moments that mark the carnival period and reinforce the festive tradition that spreads across several municipalities of the archipelago. The set of activities takes place between 3 and 14 February, with the main events concentrated in the first half of the month.
