Barcelos Fest Ensemble

The second edition of Barcelos Fest Ensemble offers six free-admission concerts, scheduled between June and November in churches and other heritage spaces in the municipality of Barcelos.

The series keeps the commented-concert format, with presentation and contextualization by musicologist Miguel Leite, and focuses on promoting art music, musical literacy, and the connection between heritage and artistic creation. Throughout the programme, there will be a recital with a Marian theme, Romantic repertoire for flute and piano, proposals for guitar, solo piano, and cello and piano, culminating in a final recital dedicated to Portuguese and Brazilian music of the 20th and 21st centuries.
