Doing It Together Takes Less Work

Before the performance "Até Cantar Dá Trabalho", Catarina Moura and Luís Pedro Madeira propose a participatory workshop for families, children and adults. The activity begins with traditional songs that marked the rhythm of work and invites participants to try vocal games, body percussion, and call-and-response songs. Between play and singing, the group builds a small improvised choir and discovers repertoires from the Portuguese oral tradition, in a gathering designed to celebrate the pleasure of singing together.
