Ájax

Starting from *Ajax*, by Sophocles, this performance proposes a contemporary approach to the tragedy of the Greek hero and his downfall. The creation premieres at Teatro Municipal Joaquim Benite and brings together the classical text with testimonies, narratives, and artistic interventions, around themes such as revenge, illusion, and the degradation of civilizational values.

The staging is by Cláudio da Silva, who also joins the cast, alongside Crista Alfaiate, Marcello Urgeghe, and Nuno Lucas. The result is a stage reading that uses ancient tragedy as a starting point for a reflection on violence, disillusionment, and the crisis of values.
