Included in the Viva João César Monteiro series, the film follows a strange intrigue that leads an injured man, Robert Jordan, to an Algarve beach, after an attack in a hotel in the Algarve, where he is taken in by Laura Rossellini, an Italian widow. A 1986 work, it marks the end of the first phase of João César Monteiro’s career and is presented in a restored digital copy. The screening is part of a retrospective dedicated to one of the great names of Portuguese cinema.
