9th edition of the European Course Basics in Human Genetic Diagnostics – A course for CLGs* in education - 7-11 September 2026

The European Course **Basics in Human Genetic Diagnostics – A course for CLGs* in education** offers intensive training in human genetic diagnostics, aimed at CLGs* in education. The content covers basic notions of human genetics and genetic counselling, cytogenetics, molecular cytogenetics, molecular genetics, biochemical genetics and future directions in the field.

The course is organised by Isabel Marques Carreira, Joana Barbosa de Melo and Mariana Val. Registration costs 500€, including tea, coffee, five lunches, one dinner, a visit to Universidade de Coimbra, a book of abstracts, a USB drive and the book *Human Genetics - Edition 2020: A Basic Training Package*, by T Liehr. ESHG scholarships are available to support tuition fees and partial travel expenses. Travel and accommodation are arranged by the participants.
