7 Figures in the Renewal of Popular Music

David Ferreira leads a lecture series devoted to seven key names in the renewal of Portuguese popular music. The opening session takes place on 14 January 2027, at 19:00, and the program runs until 1 April.

Throughout the series, the careers of José Afonso, Adriano Correia de Oliveira, Luís Cília, José Mário Branco, Sérgio Godinho, Fausto and Vitorino will be discussed, in a journey that highlights the influence of these songwriters and performers on contemporary Portuguese music.
