1001 Nights – Santomean Sister

Starting from *One Thousand and One Nights* in Hugo Maia's translation, this creation brings together characters as unsettling as they are symbolic, evoked by Scheherazade in an attempt to calm Shahryar. The dramaturgy and staging are by Miguel Jesus, with production/participation by Teatro O Bando. On stage are Adozia Cristo, Diogo Rocha, Fabian Bravo, Mick Trovoada, Nicolas Brites and Rita Brito, in a performance that blends imagination, language and dramatic tension.
